The Lighthouse Among the Rocks

Ever wondered about lighthouses?

‘Lighthouses don’t go running all over an island looking for boats to save;
they just stand there shining.’
-Anne Lamott

To a sailor, it reminds them of lurking danger
To young lovers, it reminds them of amorous moments
To someone lost at sea, it’s a beacon of hope
To an islander, it reminds them of a place called home!

Let me indulge you in some poetry…

” Just off the swirling sea,
There’s a lighthouse,
Bigger than an aged oaken tree,

Thicker in the base,
And lighter on it’s face,

A homing beacon,
For the ships, just off the shore,
A warning, to be cautious of the waves and more.”
